We are looking for an Android Engineering Intern to join our team of talented engineers in designing and building the next generation of our mobile applications, including an exciting mobile payment application project.
About the Role:
As an Android Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced applications for the Android platform. This role is perfect for students who are passionate about mobile development and are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Job Responsibilities:
- Android Development: Assist in designing and building applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborative Work: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- External Data and APIs: Gain experience working with outside data sources and APIs.
- Testing and Reliability: Participate in unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Performance Improvement: Contribute to bug fixing and enhancing application performance.
- Innovation and Research: Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements:
- Education: Currently pursuing a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of the Android SDK and a keen interest in Android app development. Experience with Android app development through coursework or personal projects is a plus.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with remote data handling via REST and JSON, and an interest in third-party libraries and APIs.
- Learning Attitude: Eagerness to learn about the mobile development life cycle and to stay updated with mobile landscape trends and emerging technologies.
Bonus Points:
- Experience or coursework related to mobile development.
- Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.
- Interest in continuous integration and agile methodologies.
